Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Bom

In our house we have a new secret language... it's called Serenglish. We have discovered that the one NF (neurofibromatosis) problem that has hit Serene is a speech issue. Her articulation is very bad. Her receptive language is 100% but her expressive language is way behind. But regardless of how behind she may be, the sweet little language she has that is all her own is just precious.

One of our favorite words she uses is Bom. Believe it or not Bom is Grandma. If you ask her to say Grandma... "Bom". When Grandma is leaving it's "bye bye Bom". When I tell them Grandma is coming over it's clapping and parading around singing "bom bom bom". When the doorbell rings and she knows it's Grandma she runs screaming with excitement to the door yelling "bom bom bom".

Just when we thought this child couldn't captivate us anymore with her sweetness... she creates her own language making her just that much more adorable!!
