Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

First summer swim

These are the days I look forward to all year! Ok, I am a fall/winter person... cooler weather, pumpkins, fall clothes, football, Thanksgiving, my two girls birthdays and of course Christmas.... however, the one thing that makes summer bearable for me are the wonderful Sunday afternoons we spend at my parents pool. Cook-outs, watermelon, my dads unbelievably good homemade ice cream and swimming all afternoon! It's even more fun when my brother is in town and somehow or other a giant water balloon or water gun fight ensues!

We had our first Sunday afternoon swim this past weekend and as always it was so much fun! The water was cold but that did not stop our little waterbug Anna from swimming for a couple of hours! Of course our little sleeper Serene took a nap in the shade with her Nana!

The day ended with Anna getting the ride of her life! Her Pop took her for a ride thru the neighborhood in his vintage Mercedes Benz and since she is technically by the state of Texas tall enough not to HAVE to have a car seat, she was able to ride with only a seat belt. Boy was she feeling like a pretty grown up girl!! Her ride ended with Pop letting her stand out the sunroof while they drove up the driveway! What a thrill for a 3 year old!

I love these days!!

This outfit is one that Anna was VERY proud of! If one bow is good, three bows are better!

These are for "Unclee" John

Anna and my bro

My brother came into town for Mother's Day and we all had the best weekend! We went to the Mother's Day brunch at the Hilton and as you can see Anna really enjoyed her cupcake! =)

I am so grateful

In organizing my book shelves today, I came across a little journal that my friend Lindsay gave me when we graduated from high school. She wrote a sweet note in the front and then ended with a famous quote. I thought it was very powerful and wanted to share it on here! (thanks Linds)

"So much has been given to me; I have no time to ponder over that which has been denied." Helen Keller

Consider the source of this quote!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Today marks four years since the WONDERFUL day that Jimmy and I got married! It has been four amazing years and we have two beautiful daughters in our lives now! I could never have imagined meeting someone so perfect for me as Jimmy. He is calm when I'm upset, he is laid back when I am high strung, he is always looking for the best in me when I tend to only see the worst. He is an amazing provider which allows me the opportunity to stay home and enjoy the best job in the world!! And of course, one of my favorite qualities of Jimmy... he is my bug killer!! =) =) I am so scared of bugs and not only does he always get rid of them for me, he loves my girly side that hates bugs! How perfect! =)

I love you JZ!! Happy Anniversary!

The Art Show of Anna Zimmerman

Anna goes to my moms house once a week to play and enjoy time alone with Nana! When I got there to pick her up this week she and Nana had planned an art show to display some of her work! It was really sweet and she is very impressionistic in her style.... no staying inside the lines for this girl.... very much like her mommy and daddy!
