Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Four weeks today

I CANNOT believe that our baby Serene is 4 weeks old today..... how in the world has it already been 4 weeks?? These have been a WONDERFUL 4 weeks and we feel more blessed everyday that we spend with her. She has really started looking around a lot more and seems so much more alert. It is so fun to watch all her funny faces and hear all those precious baby sounds! What an incredible blessing!

Here are a few 4 week pics and one of Anna all ready for the cold weather!!

Mother of two

Today marks 12 days since our precious little Serene came into the world. I can't believe that it has been that long already. WOW! Today was her actual due date so I really expected to still be waiting for her. Of course she had other plans and I am soo grateful because I so badly wanted my brother to get to meet her before he went home from Christmas. He took 2 1/2 weeks off of work to be here for the holidays and I would have been so sad if in all that time he didn't get to be here for the birth. BUT, she was a prefect angel and came in time for him to still be here for 6 more days after her arrival!! He was thrilled!

Then of course there is this issue of being a mother to two children.... as you may remember from a former post I was a little concerned with how I was going to handle losing my one on one time with Anna after 3 years. Well as those of you with more than one child promised.... things have fallen right into place. I could never have imagined that I could love another child as much as I love Anna BUT, I do. God must have just put more love in my heart on December 28. I swear I didn't have that much until I heard her first cry and then as my own tears flowed I knew life would NEVER be the same. My love definitely grew in that very moment!

I am so grateful for my incredible husband and these two amazing daughters! I feel overwhelmingly blessed.

Catching up

Well I have been away for 12 days now and I am finally trying to catch up on some blogging. I finally got a picture of the gingerbread house we made the first week of December.... I waited so long to post it that Serene got to be in the pic! =)

I also have a pic from new years day when my fam came over for the day and we had a "fry-off".... the men (dad, bro and Jimmy) fried up everything that could be fried! French fries, okra, pickles, chicken, onion rings, etc.! It was really fun and it was great to spend all day with my bro before he went back to Orlando the next day.
