Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Monday afternoon fun

Serene at VBS

I only have a pic of Serene at VBS since Anna decided the first day that she didn't like it and didn't want to go back... she had private VBS with my mom and Granna!! =) I worked with 6 month olds so I could be with Serene of course!!! It was so much fun playing with babies all morning!

Fun by the pool with Great Granna

We had such a great almost 2 weeks with Granna... we hope she stays at least THREE next time!! We enjoyed lots of time lounging by mom and dads pool while she was here! Come back very soon Granna!!

SIX months today... I can't believe it

How is it possible that Serene is six months old today?? She has grown so much and is doing so many things. She is sitting up and can scoot across the floor. She isn't "crawling" but she can get from one end of the room to the other by scooting on her belly so one way or the other we have to watch out for little toys being left out in the playroom. She is putting everything in her mouth and has a tooth that should pop through by tonight or tomorrow. She loves to scream the happiest most excited screams you have ever heard and she gets the most excited to see her big sister! She is still nursing exclusively and we are both LOVING our one on one time together several times a day!

Mostly Serene is just sweet. She smiles all the time at everyone she sees and she NEVER gets mad or upset about anything. She is such a blessing to our lives and I can never thank God enough for sending us this little girl!

Dress up with Great Granna

My Granna just came into town and we spent the evening with her on Friday night at my parents house. We played dress up and even put make-up on! It was lots of fun and thrilling for Anna! It is so good to have Granna here to play with us!

Happy Birthday Jimmy!!

Happy 32 to my incredible husband! We had a great day and ended it with cake and ice cream at mom and dads house! Here's to the next 32!

Hotel artwork... on the sheets

This weekend we went to Jimmy's family reunion and stayed in a hotel. Anna was under the covers drawing with PAPER and a pen.... then things got a little quiet and I pulled back the covers to find this on the sheets! Of course we told her we do not draw on sheets... but I still had to take her picture because it was just so cute! =)

Two quotes I love

"The Bible calls debt a curse, and children a blessing. In our society, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. What is wrong with this picture?"--- Doug Phillips, Vision Forum Ministries

The prayers of a 3 year old

Anna's current night time (and lunch time) prayer:

"Dear Jesus, Thank you for the blessings that you give each day, please give daddy favor at work, help Sereny to poop and please give us a big back yard with a dog and a trampoline"

Saturday night

Saturday night after being ditched by our family we decided to take the girls to Southlake Town Square. This is one of Anna's favorite places to go because she loves the cows. They have these large cow statues that the kids climb all over (although I don't think they are suppose to).

We got Corner Bakery and sat out in the park area and ate. Anna played in the fountain (yes IN the fountain) and daddy helped her "ride" a few cows! Then we went to Barnes and Noble to the kid section and took turns reading Anna books and pushing Serene around in the stroller. Then we topped off the evening with cookies! It was such a fun evening... who needs extended family? =)

My long awaited painting

A year and a half ago when we moved into this house I asked my cousin who is an amazing artist (18 years old) to paint me something black and white to go with my color scheme and she did. The only catch, she lives in Midland. So, this weekend after waiting a very long time, I finally got my painting and it was VERY worth the wait!!! It is incredible and looks amazing in the living room!! Anyway, I just wanted to show off her work!! Thanks McKinley!!
