Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Friday afternoon fun

With the weather at all time highs we are coming up with all kinds of fun indoor activities... Today, dough!

The older three made lots of fun things... Rivers on the other hand just thought throwing flour all over the floor was fun.

Favorite story book character

We attend a weekly club at our church library and this week was Favorite Storybook Character Day!

The girls attended at Mary and Laura Ingalls! The Little House series has been a favorite of ours since Anna was around 4 years old!

Rivers Birthday cake

This is the cake Anna and Serene made for Rivers. They did almost all of it all by themselves. There was a little help on measuring some of the ingredients but other than that it was all them. They iced it and decorated it (with Ben) while I kept Rivers upstairs so he would be surprised!! It was yellow cake with chocolate icing and it was even gluten free!!

We decided our new tradition will be making Rivers a flag cake just like this for his July 5 bday!!

(notice Ben blowing out the candles!!$

I love bargains!

I bought this dress at Gymboree today! It was originally $74.99... I would never pay that for a child's piece of clothing... Ever! Instead, I got it for $6.99!! I just adore a bargain...so does my Financial Planner hubby!! Hee Hee!!

Happy Birthday Jaybird

I have no idea how we came to call him that but that is currently one of his many nicknames...

Jaybird
Jay-bo
Rivvies
Ribble Blibble
Rivvies Bivvies
Rivers Bivers

This guy... Wow, where do I start? He is such an incredible kid and such an unbelievable challenge as well. Always keeping us on our toes. Always bringing laughter and smiles to our house. A sensitive boy who runs up to give huge hugs and kisses to his mommy and while ever ready to tackle Daddy like a linebacker. He loves to hold his little sister and kiss her and punch and shove his big brother. Never a dull moment! Never take your eyes off this kid... You never know what he might do....

This year he..

Had numerous bloody lips
Got stitches
Broke his nose
Broke his arm

It was a crazy year but boy was it fun watching him turn from a toddler to a little boy. Finding his place among the big kids and becoming a big brother. This kid will do great things... Just watch!!

(we went to our local splash park for his birthday evening... Here are a few photos from that)
