Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Good-bye to the "Toga"

It's official, we signed all the papers and gave back the keys. Our very first house no longer bares our name as owners. Although we haven't lived their for three years there was still something sad about saying an official good-bye to the home that held so many memories for our family.

Our first home
The home we brought two of our five kiddos home to
The home where we hosted many a family holiday gathering
The neighborhood where we met people who we still and always will cherish as lifelong friends
So many family walks
Hours spent at the playground
Watching Anna grow from toddler to big kid

And so on and so on...

I loved that home!

Going back over there has made me incredibly grateful for what we have here. Acres to roam on, more space to spread out and more room for the extra kiddos we've been blessed with since leaving that first home!

Blessed, then and now! Good-bye Saratoga!

First food

Well after trying to get her to eat all the usual firsts... Avocado, egg yolks, bananas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, etc and having NO success, she finally found something she likes. It's official, she is her daddy's daughter. She LOVES boiled potatoes. I just never would have guessed that would be the food that would get her started eating real food. Hey, I'm not complaining. I'm just glad she's eating! :)

How totally cute is that expression! LOVE her soo much!!

Keller's Hamburgers

This was one of the first places Jimmy and I went as a couple. He lived not to far from here and we would get Keller's burgers for a late Sunday lunch.

Now, our kids love going here! They all sit in the front and love it! So, whenever we are in Dallas we like to stop in!

Hook me

Rivers is so proud of his "Hook Em Horns" sign...Which in reality is two peace symbols and he says "hook me, hook me"!!

Jimmy is one proud Longhorn dad!!

Flu

I've never had the flu... Until now. Oh my word... I have never in my entire life been that sick. I'm just grateful it wasn't a stomach bug. Anna and I seemed to have it the worst but we all had it and are so glad to be on the mend. I got a fun secondary sinus infection to top it all off... Good times. I may not go out in public with the kids until April when cold and flu season is behind us. :) I mean that!
