Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

A visit to Granna for Valentines

Jimmy drove the girls and I up to see Granna at the nursing home tonight. She was so happy to see the girls (and me) and receive their handmade Valentines cards and some yummy dark chocolate candies (not handmade).

The girls are learning a lot about life outside themselves by their visits to Granna. It is teaching them many things like how to make engaging conversations, how to politely listen to and enjoy stories from days gone by, how to have compassion for those who may be sad or lonely, how to use those manners we practice so much at home... Etc. The list goes on. The girls will be better people for these times with Granna and will forever carry with them fond memories of the relationship they built even at such a young age.

What a great pic, Tarrah! I can't get over how much Serene looks like your grandmother. Sounds like a nice visit! Happy Valentine's Day...thinking of you with the limited bed rest. Sounds hard..wish I were closer so I could help. Can't wait to hear of your little one's arrival! xo, Mary
