Psalm 127:3-5

Behold children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior, so are the children of one's youth.
How blessed are those whose quiver is full of them

Blueberry picnic

Today Anna made a little blueberry picnic for her and Serene. I love the way she wants to include Serene and tries so hard to be her friend. They are going to be best of friends as they get older. I am so grateful for their love for each other!

Happy 2 month birthday Ben

Ben is 2 months as of yesterday and I am in disbelief how quickly the time has gone by. He is now 12 pounds and 23 inches. He has gained 5 pounds and 5 inches in 2 months time!!! He is a big growing boy for sure.

Tonight Grandma (Jimmy's mom) came over and brought a YUMMY cake to celebrate the 2 month milestone. It was a super cute cake so I snapped a quick pic of him with it. Thank you Grandma for such a yummy treat to mark the occasion!!

Summertime and the livin' is easy

This has been a slow and peaceful summer. With the arrival of Ben we have been taking things easy and just enjoying each moment. There are so many memories from this summer as our family expanded from 4 to 5! I am beyond grateful that God has been so generous with three AMAZING children who I cherish more than life itself. Jimmy and I are so blessed!

Blue shoes

This picture was actually taken back in June.... it was taken on Wed. June 17 and on Friday, June 19 Ben was born. So because of that I never got around to posting a blog about the shoes. My Aunt Toni always sends us the cutest summer shoes. You may remember the post from July 4 last year where Anna and Serene had the most adorable red, white and blue shoes! Well this year she sent us all blue shoes in celebration of our baby boy! We thought it would be fun to take a picture of the blue shoes on Ben's cool rug. So here is the shot of the ladies (My mom, Anna, Serene and me) in our blue shoes!

Thanks Aunt Toni for the super cute shoes and helping us celebrate our new little guy!!

Our week with Granna

Last week my grandmother Granna (my mothers side) came to stay with my parents for 8 days! We had so much fun while she was here. We went swimming, went shopping, had lots of yummy dinners together, worked puzzles, read magazines... etc. etc. It was such a fun week and we already miss Granna a lot. PLEASE come back this fall and hang out with us again Granna!

We love you and miss you!

(You'll notice Ben is missing from this picture but he was napping peacefully and we did not want to disturb him. Besides there is quite a cute picture of he and Granna in the previous post.)
