Mother's Day
I had such a wonderful and blessed Mother's Day! Church with the whole family, a special indoor picnic with my mom, (since it was a little soggy outside), then dinner out with my mother-in-law to end the day. Nothing better than a special day to celebrate all moms!
I love you Anna, Serene and Ben! Thanks for making me a mommy!! Oh and of course thanks to Jimmy for the support and love it takes to be the mommy!!
Anna goes to the movie
A couple of weeks ago Jimmy and I took Anna to her first movie experience. Jimmy and I have only seen 3 movies in a theatre together since we started dating. We are both kinda ADD when it comes to sitting so long without being able to hit the PAUSE button to discuss a certain part of the movie.... PLUS, there is nothing really good or uplifting to see these days anyway.
However, we wanted Anna to get to experience the whole theatre thing so we took her to see the new Disney Nature movie called World. It was a documentary that follows the lives of three animal families over a year period. It was a really good movie and we all enjoyed seeing it.
We also enjoyed the popcorn, nachos, coke, skittles and m&m's daddy loaded us up with!! We thought it was pretty hilarious that we spent almost $10 more on food than on the tickets to see the movie. Oh well.. that is part of the fun!! =)
It was a blast seeing Anna's face when she saw the size of the screen and the theatre itself. She really had a GREAT time! For now though, Jimmy and I will stick to movies at home with a PAUSE button and our personal commentary thrown in!! =)
(Thanks to Pop and Nana for watching little Serene so we could fully enjoy our movie experience... and thanks to Pop for giving Anna her very own money to buy some candy!!)

Five amazing years
Five years ago today Jimmy and I said "I do" and started on the most amazing five year journey of our lives. I never could have imagined at that time how much more I would love Jimmy five years later than I did that very day. I thought the love I felt that day was as deep and undying as it could ever be. Looking back, I now see that it was only the tip of the iceberg. Five years have brought a richness to our love that words can't really explain.
Five years have also brought two amazing little girls and a little boy who we will soon meet. How incredibly blessed and enriched our lives have become through those three little lives! Jimmy is such an amazing dad. He spends countless hours investing time into them and it shows. They adore daddy and nothing makes their day better than when they first see daddy after he gets home from work. I am beyond grateful for his special bond with our children and his example of a man of high character to them.
We have packed a LOT of life into five years and every minute has been well worth the ride! There is not another person in this ENTIRE WORLD I would rather ride with.
I love you JZ!
