Family reunion
As we do each year at this time we made our trek to Abilene, Buffalo Gap to be exact, to the annual family reunion. This is Jimmy's paternal grandmothers side of the family. We always have so much fun and the kids look forward to it for weeks!
This year we stayed overnight and spent Sunday making a leisurely roadtrip back home through some little country towns along the winding back roads in the massive state.
The town of Buffalo Gap, population something like 200, is straight out of a movie. Huge trees, quiet, simple and peaceful. I love it there. The whole thing feels like a step back in time. A good time!
On the way home we stopped in Dublin, Texas and enjoyed a picnic under a tree including a assorted variety of sodas from the bottling company right in the heart of downtown. We also stopped at a flea market in Stephenville and later got Ice Cream in Granbury. A fun little mini-roadtrip!
I love hanging out with these 6 people!
