Christmas... Part two

We had a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day made only more fairy tale like by the snow that started falling right in the middle if Christmas lunch! Such a pleasant and memorable season!

Christmas... Part one

I'm so behind this year...

First off, we had 6 straight weeks of Chicken Pox. That sort of put a wrench in our Thanksgiving / Christmas season... BUT, all five kids have now had it and have stronger immune systems because of it. Glad it's behind us.

Secondly, this momma is tired from all that sickness.

So, while we have done lots of fun stuff it hasn't all been recorded on film and it certainly hasn't been blogged. At least not yet.

Happy Birthday Serene!

It has been a bit of a crazy birthday weekend for Serene with Anna being sick on the day before when we planned to celebrate and family being in town for a late Christmas on the actual day. So far we have just opened presents and had a cake but once extended family is gone and everyone else feels good we will have our special out to eat night. She wants Mexican.. My daughter for sure!!

Serene is 5!! How is that even possible?? This girl is such a joy and has such an amazing sense of humor! She keeps us laughing and is always full of kindness and love for those around her. She loves her dolls, stuffed animals and playing first and foremost with her big sister, little sister a close second and her brothers when she's out of options! :) We are crazy about this girl and pray a long an healthy full of strength and passion!

Birthday weekend fun

Friday before Anna's birthday, we spent the day at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. We saw To The Arctic at the Omni and then did the museum for a few hours. Afterwards we went to eat at Jimmy's favorite downtown eatery, Risky's BBQ. Later we walked around downtown and enjoyed seeing the beautiful Christmas decorations. We had such a lovely afternoon and evening!

Gingerbread house night

Tonight was our 9th annual gingerbread house night. Each kid did their own tiny one and Jimmy and I did a big one together! All the kids did such a good job but Rivers just enjoyed smashing his... Typical! :) Love traditions!!
