First day of a school

As our tradition goes we started school the day after Labor Day. Anna is in 2nd grade and Serene started a slow paced, semi unschooled kindergarten.

A highlight for me was having the girls fill out an "all about me" worksheet and Serene came to the question "what do I want to be when I grow up?". She thought about it then asked herself out loud, "what would be fun?".. To which she answered herself, "a mom, that's what I'll be, that seems pretty fun".....

Yes sweet girl, it is fun! :)

Rodeo

Jimmy's boss gave us his front / center box tickets to a local rodeo again this year and while this may not be the fanciest rodeo in town.. It's front row center status makes it tops in our book! Our boys would lose interest quick up in the bleachers but with these seats they are right there in the action!

We had a great time and didn't even get any mosquito bites! :)
